Gearing up for the upcoming Seventh Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2022) which will be held on 23-28 May, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy together with Head of Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management Suharyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Governor of Bali Wayan Koster visited Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) to inspect the readiness of our center.
Minister Muhadjir Effendy also conducted a coordination meeting which attended by 100 participants from related government agencies.
The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction is the main global forum to assess and discuss progress on the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. The seventh session of the Global Platform (GP2022) will be organized by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) from 23 to 28 May 2022, in Bali, Indonesia, hosted by the Government of Indonesia with expected participants of 5,000 delegates from 193 countries. The event will be co-chaired by the Government of Indonesia and UNDRR.
