The Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS) and Indonesian Hernia Society hosted the 15th Asia Pacific Hernia Society Conference for three days started from 3 October until 5 October 2019.
With the chosen theme of Hernia Surgery: Black and White, the annual conference was attended by 250 hernia doctors and surgeons from 25 APHS member countries.
The highlight of the conference was live surgery with real-time broadcast on 3 October. The live surgery held in three countries of China, Singapore and Papua New Guinea and real-time broadcast in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center conference room.
Aside from the conference, the event also conducted workshops, an exhibition and in the evening of 4 October, all participants were gathered in a cultural gala dinner featured Balinese performances choreographed with the touch of contemporary art and music.
