The World Hydropower Congress is the flagship event for decision-makers within and beyond the hydropower industry to address how sustainable hydropower can help ensure energy security and reach global net zero emissions. It will deliver high-level policy statements, recommendations and commitments that influence the global growth of sustainable hydropower.
Decided recently in Abu Dhabi that The Government of the Republic of Indonesia will host the 2023 World Hydropower Congress alongside with State Electricity Enterprise and the International Hydropower Association (IHA) in which the congress will be held on 31 October to 2 November 2023.
Organized by IHA, the 2023 edition will bring ‘Powering Sustainable Growth’ as the main theme and targeted to be attended by Head of States, more than 1000 delegates of CEOs, investors, civil society leaders, international financial institutions, and global media from approximately 100 countries.
