The 22nd International Leprosy Congress

The 22nd International Leprosy Congress took place from 7 July 2025 until 9 July 2025, and brought together over 1,000 delegates representing 12 countries. The international congress brings together scientists, health professionals, policy makers, people with leprosy, and civil society under one common goal, “Towards a World without Leprosy”
and echoed 3 main missions, namely Zero Transmission, Zero Disability & Zero Discrimination.

Officially opened by RI Minister of Health – Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin the international scientific meeting held to advance research, treatment, and understanding of leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease.

The annual congress serves as the world’s premier platform to review scientific advances, share best practices, and coordinate action to eradicate leprosy-one of humanity’s oldest and most misunderstood diseases.
