53 African Countries Gathered in Bali for Indonesia-Africa Infrastructure Dialogue 2019

More than 700 delegations from 53 African countries gathered in Bali to attend Indonesia-Africa Infrastructure Dialogue on 20 and 21 August 2019.

The Indonesia-Africa Infrastructure Dialogue serves as a platform for the business community, government officials and other stakeholders from Indonesia and Africa to exchange ideas, explore possibilities of collaboration and further engage in cooperation in the sector of infrastructure and related sectors. The international forum, which carries the theme “Connecting for Prosperity”, tries to encourage more cooperation between Indonesia and Africa.

The two days event filled with panel discussions which convene featuring prominent Indonesian, African and international policy makers as well as business people, covering issues related to infrastructure. The event also in-conjunction with exhibition of Indonesia state-owned companies and private companies which showcasing Indonesia infrastructure sectors.

Indonesia officials including Indonesia Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi who is the host of the event, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut B. Panjaitan, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rudiantara accompanied Indonesia President Joko Widodo to delivered his speech in Tuesday afternoon, 20 August.
