World Culture Forum

The World Culture Forum (WCF) 2016 is an initiative organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, held in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center for 4 days from 10 to 14 October 2016.
It highlighted the power of culture as the fourth dimension of sustainable development. Several working groups and high level discussions followed, yet at the release of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 Targets, relevance and place were not given to culture. The World Culture Forum (WCF) 2016 included a series of keynote addresses, symposiums on culture-related issues, a cultural carnival, and a parallel international youth forum on culture.
With the central theme “Culture for an Inclusive Sustainable Planet”, the forum was attended by more than 1500 delegates from 65 countries.

The forum started the program  with an art performance collaboration  “Culture Festival and Folk Dance Show” which presented by  more than hundred dancers from 14 countries including Indonesia, Romania, India, Slovenia, Italy, Kazakhstan and many more on Wednesday night, 12 October. On Thursday, 13 October, Megawati Soekarnoputri, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia delivered her opening speech in commemorate the opening of World Culture Forum 2016.logo facebook
